These are my hands :-)

 

I started off with some lovely VINYLUX water marbling but as you can tell that didn't last long.

 

I simply couldn't stand the mess I'd made all round my fingers so I took it all off and came up with these little babies.

 

I've used CND Shellac in Silver Chrome with 'Fibre Optics' foil over the top.  This can be bought from www.dollarnailart.com and they ship worldwide.

 

I then finished this look off with some Pueen stamping with black Konad polish using plate 46.

Tropix & Grapefruit Sparkle

 

Bright Nails for Winter!

 

My lovely client came to me for the first time and wanted something bright and feminine.

 

We chose CND Shellac in Tropix and layered it with Grapefruit Sparkle.  I finished the look with some Pueen stamping from image plate 44.

 

Nothing like some lovely bright nails to make you feel better <3

Short Nails are HOT

Pink Bikini!

Who said short nails are ugly??  I disagree!

 

My client was worried that she couldn't have Shellac on such short nails but I think they turned out great.

 

I've used CND Shellac in Pink Bikini here with black Konad polish for stamping and I've used my new favourite stamping plate brand Pueen (plate 46) for the cute little flowers. 

 

On the ring finger I've used VINYLUX in Gilded Pleasure (my new favourite polish to stamp with) and then I've added a few Gilded Pleasure dots for the centre of the black flowers.

 

Client LOVED them.  Shame I am moving away :-(

Cath Kidston Inspired Nails

LOVE LOVE LOVE Cath Kidston

 

Little bit of shabby chic for my client today with some lovely Cath Kidston inspired nails.

 

I've used a base of CND Shellac in Cake Pop with some Studio White accents.  The ring finger is Azure Wish with some hand painted Shellac roses.

 

I know some of you ladies are afraid of Cake Pop but if you keep your layers nice and thin you will have no problems at all.

 

 

CND Shellac & Transfer Foils

 

I've been buying up every single foil I can find on Ebay over the last few months and I've now got an amazing collection.  The three on the left are water drops (although I like to think the green and pink looks like water melons) and the one on the right is obviously checkered.

 

LOVE LOVE LOVE my foils and they go so well with CND Shellac.

 

I've learned a new trick recently for amazing full coverage.

 

1. Colour coats as normal.  Second colour coat, cure.
2. On the tacky layer of the second colour coat add foil adhesive and cure for two minutes.  I know this is unusual but it really helps the foil stick.
3. Add the foil to the nail and rub very thoroughly.  Some people use a cotton pad to rub.  I prefer my finger and finger nail.
4. Carefully remove the foil backing and top coat twice for extra protection.
5. Remove tacky layer and add SolarOil.

Practice makes perfect but if you use this method you should have no major issues.

VINYLUX Konad Stamping

Okay ladies,

 

So I know I posted these nails the other day but I just wanted to post a close up of the stamping I did to give you an idea of how amazing CND's new VINYLUX Weekly Polish is to stamp with.  Goes on like a dream every time.  In fact I'd go as far as to say that this is as good, if not better, than some of the Konad polishes I have.

 

This particular VINYLUX polish is Gilded Pleasure.

Cream Puff & Hot Pink Stamping

 

 

My lovely client was off to the P!ink concert last night and wanted some cute nails so we came up with these.

 

CND Shellac in Cream Puff with some gorgeous bright pink Bundle Monster stamping.  We finished off the design with CND Silver Chrome Shellac layered with Lish Start Dust holographic glitter for a bit of bling.

VINYLUX Water Marbling

i

 

So, I've tried water marbling before and torn my hair out but after seeing Divine by Design's water marbling on Facebook I decided to give it another go.

 

But this time I used CND's newest product, VINYLUX and it worked a treat.  Obviously I need some practice but considering my last attempts ended up everywhere other than the colour pop, I am pretty happy with these.

Tinsel Toast & Stamping

Loving this set of nails.

 

I used the very coveted limited edition Tinsel Toast layered over Sugared Spice.

 

For the ring finger Black Pool with Vinylux in Gilded Pleasure for the gorgeous flowers.

Purple Purple & Additives

Tried out something a little bit different with these.  The base is Purple Purple and then I stuck starform scrapbooking stickers over the nail and rubbed in different coloured additives.  How great is the effect!

Pink Bikini & Black Lace

These are CND Shellac in Pink Bikini with Silver VIP Status over the top, finished off with black lace foil.
